Homes. Jeff Snyder Jeffery A. Snyder is new to Central Virginia but is already the force behind many of the exciting developments coming to Lake Anna. Under the name J.A.Snyder Entities he has spent 30 years building a reputation for fine residential homes and commercial construction. Today JASE includes J.A. Snyder Construction, Northeast Concrete, and Northeast Masonry. Recently, Arc-Tek Homes, the premiere custom home builder on Lake Anna merged with Snyder and acquired a majority interest in the Cutalong project – a golf course-centered development in Louisa County that will begin construction in 2011. Mr. Snyder has lived in northeast Pennsylvania for all of his life and has deep roots in the Stroudsburg area. As the Poconos became an increasingly popular tourist destination for residents of New York City and Philadelphia, Snyder was in a perfect position to help build out the area. His projects have ranged from banks to fast food outlets, and from a number of CVS stores to several shopping centers he owns. “I believe in giving back to the community,” says Snyder. “I’ve also built facilities for the Salvation Army, several churches and the Women’s Resources Crisis Center.” “We were traveling in Virginia and fell in love with the Lake Anna area. As my wife and I explored the area we saw a community ready to take off. We bought a 20-acre housing site in the Anna Coves subdivision.” Snyder’s current project is the Lake Anna Island building going up on New Bridge Road that will house the Lake Anna Island Yacht Club, three new restaurants, and a gym. He has also started developing a townhouse cluster nearby. His next project will be a five story condo building on the water.
